A space funeral company will send the DNA of four US presidents into space

Texas-based space funeral company Celestis is about to send the DNA of four former US presidents into space. The company announced this on February 20 in a blog post, saying it will add the symbolic remains of George Washington, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, and Ronald Reagan to the upcoming Enterprise Flight into deep space, launching May 4, 2023.
Cremated remains and DNA samples from some of the world's stars will also be on board. Celestis announced on their blog that they are sending hair samples from the Louis Machereau collection.
“The hair samples from the Louis Machereau collection, along with their respective certificates of authenticity, were donated to the company by an anonymous donor to participate in the mission,” – Celestis said. “Mission Celestis– help human development throughout the solar system.
The Enterprise Flight is expected to fly some 150-300 million kilometers into space, beyond the Earth-Moon system.
