A sharp jump in the number of strokes in Israel

KAN has published the results of a study by the Leumi Health Insurance Fund.
It turned out that during the period of the coronavirus epidemic, a significant increase in the number of cases of strokes was registered.
In 2018, there was an increase of 3.9% in stroke cases among insured people in Leumi, in 2019 – 1.9%, in 2020 – 9.4% and in 2021 – by 19.4%.
During the study, it was found that strokes are neither the consequences of covid nor the consequences of vaccinations against it. The reason, most likely, is the fact that all healthcare resources have been thrown into the fight against coronavirus – which has affected other areas. The true picture of the damage is becoming clear only now.
