In the English city of Bury, a child was born with a rare pathology – gastroschisis. With this disease, a crevice forms in the baby's abdominal cavity, through which internal organs can fall out.

According to the Daily Mail, the baby's mother, 29-year-old Ashley Fowler, learned about the baby's illness when she was 12 week of pregnancy, and was horrified. She had to give birth in a specialized hospital.

The childbirth was performed using a cesarean section. The baby, named Koa, was placed in an incubator, his mother could not hold him in her arms.

The baby spent three weeks in the hospital, he underwent surgery. Five weeks after birth, the child is at home with his family.
