A mysterious metal ball with a diameter of one and a half meters has been spotted on a Japanese beach. The item was discovered by a local resident in the Japanese city of Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture. This was reported by Daiichi TV.
The incident is being investigated by the authorities. Video footage released by SkyNews shows police approaching it cautiously.
Police have now restricted access to the scene. Since the object's origin is unknown, it may be explosive.
A metal ball found on a beach is covered in rust and is believed to be made of iron.
It is noted that international attention has recently been focused on unidentified objects, spy balloons shot down over the US and diplomatic negotiations with China.
