A meteorite that fell in England may confirm the popular theory of scientists

Scientists have presented the first results of an analysis of the debris that fell on Winchcombe in Gloucestershire last February. According to the Air Force, its structure contained the same water as on Earth. Scientists believe that this may support the theory that the chemical components that contributed to the emergence of life on Earth were brought billions of years ago from space. “All other meteorites have been contaminated in one way or another in the terrestrial environment, but Winchcombe is unique in that it was picked up very quickly. So if we don't take into account the samples obtained directly from the asteroids by space probes, we have a really perfect sample,” said Dr. Ashley King of the Natural History Museum.
