So, according to the Director of the local school, Victoria Golubenko, parents of sick children refused to vaccinate for religious beliefs, they practice the baptism.
“In our school, ill 20 children. They are all from large families. Parents, due to religious reasons do not want to put children vaccinated. We spent with them preventive conversation, trying to convince them to vaccinate children, but they opposed. Came to us with lawyers and we had to allow them to lessons, she said.

Most children from large families. Thus, in the same family with the measles at the same time ill 7-8 children. Two of the most heavy moved to Odessa infectious hospital. The other children are treated at home, their parents from hospitalization refused.
“According to chief doctor of the Kiliya district hospital admitted two children 2012 and 2009 birth. Their condition deteriorated and they were hospitalized in regional infectious diseases hospital. Doctors predict that in the next few days the number of sick children could increase even several times.
“Given the number of non-vaccinated children that we have, the number of patients with measles will increase. We went to their community and talked with them, but parents do not trust vaccines. We have over 2 years of age – 95 non-vaccinated children older than seven years four children are not vaccinated, 142 children have never been vaccinated and 62 have been vaccinated only once, — said the chief doctor of the primary health care Larisa Stepanenko.
