The girl, whose mother and twin sister were shot dead in Monday night's brutal attack in Lod that rocked the country, will be moved to a secret location for her safety, according to a report released Tuesday.
Manar Hajjaj and her 14-year-old daughters Khadra and Maryam were reportedly unloading groceries from a car when the assailants fired a series of shots at close range. As a result, Manar and Khadra were fatally injured, and Maryam, who tried to escape, was shot in the leg.
The surviving girl was taken to the Shamir Medical Center, but subsequently moved to an undisclosed location due to fears for her life.
According to the Haaretz newspaper, she will remain there until the current situation is reviewed by the court, which will determine whether and how she will remain under special protection.
Further details of the current investigations are prohibited from publication by a court decision. Police arrests were not reported.
