A charity marathon of Ukrainian cinema has started in New York

Showings of the CinemAid Ukraine Charity Film Marathon have started in New York. and treatment of wounded soldiers-filmmakers, according to the State Committee for Cinematography.

“Funds will be directed to the treatment of affected filmmakers and the completion of films that are “stuck” because of war. We are looking for an opportunity to find funds to finance, finish these films, find funds for post-production, because we must be present at world festivals,” said Artem Kolyubaev, chairman of the Council for State Support of Cinematography.

Film screenings in New York will last until the end of August at the Ukrainian Institute of America. 11 full-length films will be presented to the audience:

drama "Shchedryk" director Olesya Morgunets-Isaenko, historical action "Kruty 1918" directed by Alexei Shaparev, biographical drama "Forbidden" directed by Roman Brovko, musical comedy action movie "Infernal Banner, or Cossack Christmas" directed by Mikhail Kostrov, historical drama "House Word. Endless Romance” directed by Taras Tomenko, historical drama "Toloka" directed by Mikhail Ilyenko, drama film "Expectation" directed by Vyacheslav Krishtofovich, historical drama "Someone else's prayer" directed by Akhtem Seitablaev, historical drama "Guide" directed by Olesya Sanina.

The World Charity Film Marathon was initiated by the State Film Agency of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ukrainian Film Academy, the association Watch Ukrainian! BO BF Doors, OOCenter for the Development of Creative Industries.
