6.9 magnitude earthquake in Ecuador causes severe damage

An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 struck off the coast of Ecuador on Saturday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) said.
According to the EMSC, the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth 10 kilometers.
At the time of publication, there were no reports of casualties or injuries.
