“We gradually refuse disposable plastic bags, so we had the opportunity to carefully monitor the environment and protect the clean, green reputation of New Zealand,” says Ardern.
At the moment New Zealand is one of the highest among developed countries in terms of waste per capita, because everyone in the country have 154 used disposable bags per year, that is only 750 million.
