The Ministry of transport said, which can handle passengers of cancelled or delayed flights for redress.
Compensation costs for passengers, which arose due to delayed or cancelled flights, as well as in the case of improper maintenance, is done by the carrier or the submission to the court. However, Ukrainian legislation does not provide for compensation for the delay, informs Rus.Media.
It is reported, the State aviation service with reference to the Rules of air transportation and baggage approved by the order of Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine dated November 30, 2012 №735, reports Mind.
“It should be noted that the court’s decision, the carrier may pay compensation for damage caused by delay in transportation, is limited to the amount of 4,694 SDRs (as of the date of submission of answer (11 July ) the amount specified in the SDR corresponds to 173612, 28 UAH)”, – stated in the message of Ministry of transport.
It is noted that in case of delay of flight for more than 5 hours, passengers shall be offered reimbursement for transportation of 7 days, which must be paid in cash, by electronic Bank transfer, Bank order or Bank cheque, or if you have certified in writing the consent of the passenger, in the form of traveller’s cheques or other services, the full cost of the ticket at the price at which he purchased.
