Ukrainian low-cost airline to be!
The new Ukrainian low-cost airline SkyUp received the air operator certificate giving the right to perform flights, said Avianews , the press service of the company.
According to previous data, the flights of the new airline will begin to run next week. In the first stage SkyUp will use two 189-seater Boeing 737-800 2013 release, which previously flew to Malaysia Airlines. Now these Airliners are repainting in Bratislava and Istanbul. It already has the Ukrainian registration number UR-and UR SQA-SQB. Later, the company will join the fleet of 149-seater Boeing 737-700.
In the first stage SkyUp will perform international Charter flights for tour operator Join UP!, the owners who are the ultimate beneficiaries of the new carrier.
Later, the company will commence domestic flights on the route Kiev-Odessa and Odessa-Kharkov, to be implemented at low-cost concept.
International scheduled flights in 2018 are planned in the directions Kiev — Barcelona, Kyiv — Dubai, Kyiv — Larnaca.
Recall that together with the Hungarian state Railways Ukrzaliznytsia plans to launch a direct train “Mukachevo – Budapest”.
