New Ukrainian low-cost airline SkyUp received the air operator certificate giving the right to perform flights.

According to information, the flights of the new airline will start to carry out roughly next week. In the first stage SkyUp will use two 189-seater Boeing 737-800 2013 release, which previously flew to Malaysia Airlines. Now these Airliners are repainting in Bratislava and Istanbul. It already has the Ukrainian registration number UR-and UR SQA-SQB. Later, the company will join the fleet of 149-seater Boeing 737-700.
In the first stage SkyUp will perform international Charter flights for tour operator Join UP! the owners who are the ultimate beneficiaries of the new carrier.
Later, the company will commence domestic flights on the route Kiev-Odessa and Odessa-Kharkov, to be implemented at low-cost concept.
Previously it was assumed that the air operator certificate, the company will receive in April, but that never happened. “Shift schedule associated with the implementation of final procedures for obtaining airworthiness of aircraft and certification audits of the enterprise”, — explained the reason for the delay is the General Director of airline Evgenie Hojnacki.
