At the age of 93 years has died the great Hollywood actor Joseph Campanella, who played in the soap operas Days of our lives and Guiding light.
The actor who played in more than 200 pictures on television and in the movies during his 50-year career, died at his home in Sherman Oaks, California, on Wednesday, may 16. This daughter Campanella told the American edition of the popular Variety.
Joseph Campanella was born 21 Nov 1924 in new York, USA. Was the younger brother of actor Frank Campanella, who died in December 2006, and Philip Campanella. He and his brothers in the childhood spoke Italian and began studying English at school age.

Campanella served during world war II in the U.S. Navy. He later graduated from Manhattan College in 1948 and attended Columbia University where she studied theater arts.
Joseph Campanella was involved in the filming of the TV shows combat!, Dr, Big valley, Mission: impossible, the Golden girls and others, and the glory he brought to the role of Joe Turino in the TV series Guiding light and Harper Deveraux in Days of our lives.
In 1963, the actor met his future wife, singer and dancer Kathryn Jill Bartholomew when he played a major role in the musical Hot Spot (Hot spot – approx. ed.) on Broadway. They were married may 30, 1964 and was raised seven sons.
