The British company QS Best Student Cities Ranking has published an annual study which they called a rating of the best cities in the world for training students.
Five cities-leaders present British London, Japanese in Tokyo, Australian Melbourne, canadian Montreal and French Paris. The top ten also included Munich, Berlin, Zurich, Sydney and Seoul. Most financial always available for needy students recognized Budapest, Kuala Lumpur, Riyadh, Tomsk and Hsinchu.
London named best city for students
During the rating, experts estimated 489 cities of the world on six criteria: ranking of local universities, international student body, the attractiveness of the city, the activity of employers, financial inclusion, the students ‘ opinion.
It should be noted that the latter figure was included in the rating in 2016. It is based on the students ‘ assessments of their city in eight categories: tolerance and integration, diversity, friendliness, ease of movement, accessibility, nightlife, employment opportunities, arts and culture.
Another indicator that was taken into account in the assessment of students — the percentage of students who either left, or said that he would like to stay in the city at least a year after graduation. According to the authors of the rating, it reflects students ‘ perception of availability and quality of employment prospects.
