The OSCE is concerned about searches in “RIA Novosti-Ukraine”

The OSCE representative on freedom of the media Harlem Desir expressed concern about searches in the wording and in the homes of employees, “RIA Novosti-Ukraine”, reports Rus.Media.

This is stated in the statement of the Dezir.

“I Express serious concern about the morning RAID on the offices of Russian media in Kiev, the arrest of journalists and the search of journalists’ homes. I again call on the authorities to refrain from unreasonable restrictions on the work of foreign journalists, which affect the free flow of information and freedom of the media”, – said in a statement Desiree.

He stressed that fighting propaganda should not contradict international standards and should not constitute disproportionate interference in the activities of the media.

Earlier in the day, the SBU reported that its employees in conjunction with the Prosecutor’s office of Crimea has revealed the activities of the network of mass-media, controlled by the Russian Federation, and carry out investigative actions in the office of “RIA Novosti – Ukraine” in Kiev.

On Tuesday morning in Kiev, the law enforcers also detained Kirill Vyshinsky.
