In the Netherlands discovered a previously unknown painting by Dutch artist Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn. According to experts, the work is called “portrait of a young man” and was written in 1634. This was reported by NRC Handelsblad, reports Rus.Media.
Experts believe that the painting could be part of a diptych. Bought the canvas a year and a half ago, the art historian and art dealer Jan six. The purchase was made at Christie’s auction. Then the historian of the work laid out for 137 thousand pounds.
At first it was thought that the film was written by one of the disciples of Rembrandt. Soon, however, 15 professionals agreed that the portrait belongs to the brush of Rembrandt.
