Israeli meteorologists sum up the results of three days of the first winter storm – the storm & ldquo; Carmel & rdquo ;.

Heavy rains, winds blew, snow fell in places.

The greatest amount of precipitation fell between Tuesday December 21st and Wednesday December 22nd. In the Holon region, 150 mm of precipitation fell in one night.

164 mm of precipitation fell in Beit Dagan, 146 mm in Tel Aviv, 141 in Zichron Yaakow, in Safed – 84, in Haifa – 70 and in Jerusalem – 55.

On the lower slopes of Mount Hermon there is snow 20 cm deep, which made it possible to open the winter season, on the upper slopes the depth of the snow cover exceeded half a meter.

Storm Carmel is over – but rains, albeit of lesser intensity, are still possible throughout the country – up to the northern Negev.
